The 3rd ORTHOREBIRTH Academic Study Session Held.

On Jan.28, ORTHOREBIRTH held its Academic Study Session in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. It was the 3rd Academic Study Session. The First Academic Study Session was held in Yokohama in December, 2014 and the Second one was in Nago, Okinawa in November, 2015.
The participants at the session included two orthopedists Dr. Stewart and Dr. Takaaki Tanaka, Prof. Toshihiro Kasuga, Vice Chancellor of Nagoya Institute of Technology(NIT) and Prof.Akiko Obata from NIT, and Mr. Makita, Head of our Okinawa Research Laboratory.
The two doctors reported mainly about the result of their clinical tests on ReBOSSIS: Dr. Stewart detailed on his actual operation using ReBOSSIS, and Dr. Tanaka explained about the superiority of artificial bones containing β-TCP on the basis of his own clinical data. Prof. Kasuga and Obata made presentations regarding the development of artificial bones and cottony filling materials. Mr. Makita explained about several projects currently being conducted.
Just like the First ORTHOREBIRTH Meeting this 3rd Academic Study Session was a good opportunity for ORTHOREBIRTH Group members and their partners to get together. We, ORTHOREBIRTH, came to recognized again, through these two recent face-to-face meetings, how important and significant it was to exchange opinions with each other. Taking these meetings as a good step, we would like to contribute much more to the further development of reproductive medicine and further enhance our ReBOSSIS-centered activities so that we will be able to closely support to patients in Japan and all over the world through ReBOSSIS.
